    Welcome

I’m president and founder of Palo Alto Software, founder of bplans.com, co-founder of Borland International, author of books and software on business planning, Stanford MBA, father of five, married 38 years.

This site is mainly about switching you over to my blogs. There’s a feed to the right that includes recent posts on all three of the blogs I do by myself. And here are the links too, with graphics:

First, Planning Startups Stories, my main blog:

    blog.timberry.com

Second, my Up and Running blog on entrepreneur.com:

    Up and Running

AllBusiness Blog NetworkThird, Business Planning Demystified on allbusiness.com.

My blog on that network is part of the blog network site on allbusiness.com that recently won the webby award. I’m proud of being part of that, but I don’t want to imply that the award went to me directly; I’m one of several bloggers on that blog site.

Aside from those three, I also post regularly on Small Business Trends, and regularly on the Business in General (BIG) blog, and occasionally on Huffington Post.

I also write a monthly column on entrepreneur.com, and I’ve written a lot of articles on bplans.com.

My new book The Plan-As-You-Go Business Plan is out now, published by Entrepreneur Press, distributed by McGraw-Hill. It’s in stock at amazon.com, and coming soon at Barnes and Noble and Borders. I also co-authored a second book this year, on how to start a business, also on contract with Entrepreneur, titled 3 Weeks to Start.

I just finished teaching BA410: New Business Planning at the University of Oregon again this year during spring term. This was the 11th year in a row.
