Business Planning
Let’s get real!
No, I won’t write your business plan for you. Sorry, but I’ve done that, for years, and I don’t do it anymore. I don’t believe having an outsider write a plan for you works; and I practice what I preach. Planning, yes — planning is vital — but a plan, as a document, is obsolete as soon as it’s finished. And it should never be finished. I can help you with your business planning at various price levels beginning with free…
Free advice and coaching: I’ve put literally thousands of articles, blog posts, videos, and even two complete books online where they are available to you, free, 24 x 7. Click for more info…
Productized advice in books and software: I like to think of this as productized advice, available for the cost of a lunch (the books) or an hour or two of your time (the software). Click for more info…
Real Review:
For Business Plan Pro or LivePlan.com users only, I offer a comprehensive business plan review for $995. The deliverable includes a marked-up and commented copy of the document plus a long email from me detailing suggestions and my view of the plan’s suitability for business management, backing up a loan application, or for seeking investment. I work with Business Plan Pro (bpdx) files or password access to Liveplan.com. Click here for more information …
Real Numbers:
For Business Plan Pro and LivePlan.com users only, I charge $1,995 and up for an interactive job, working with you, to develop realistic and credible business planning projections including sales, cost of sales, expenses, profit or loss, balance sheet, and — by far the most important — cash flow projections. It’s not magic; it’s still just an educated guess. But I’ve had a lot of experience with this and if you let me I can help you get numbers that are based on specific assumptions, measurable, and as credible as projected numbers get. Aside from piecing apart the assumptions, I can also help you find industry profiles for reality checks against standards for gross margin, net profits, and so forth.
Realize of course that your projections will still be wrong. It’s not about guessing right. Instead, it’s a matter of having dots connected and making reasonable assumptions, which you can then pull apart and track plan vs. actual with, so that as time goes on you have something you can review, revise, and manage.
